I tell you that you have less to suffer in following the cross than serving the world and its pleasures. ~ St. Jean Marie Vianney

St. Jean Vianney

Tomorrow, August 4th, is the feast day of St. Jean Vianney - patron for parish priests. We named our son after this great Saint, so we hold him dear to our hearts.  Here are some ways that you can celebrate his holy life with your family:

1.  Learn about his life

2.  Eat potatoes for dinner!

3.  Color a picture of St. Jean Vianney

4.  Pray for our priests: Even though the Year of the Priest is officially over, we should be praying for our priests all the time. You can print out this beautiful spiritual bouquet to offer for Fr. Lappe or any other priest in your life.

5.  Make a craft: Your children might enjoy making these priest peg dolls
