Faith Formation is a critical element in who we are as Catholics.

At Our Lady Star of the Sea, we take the obligation to help everyone grow in their knowledge and love of our God very seriously. We offer a variety of programs to help with that process. Our offerings are always under review and programs are added and removed according to their current relevance.

Wednesday Evening Talks

Wednesday, 7 PM - 8: 30 PM (after 6 PM Holy Hour), Camerman Hall

Learn more about our Catholic Faith from Fr. Lappe and others as we explore various Catholic topics.

Parish Bible Study

The Monday night group is currently going through the Great Adventure Catholic Bible Study - Bible Timeline Series. There is a DVD presentation by Catholic apologist, Jeff Cavins, that is about 45 minutes for each class, folowed by questions for discussion. Each week in Camerman Hall. The Tuesday morning group is going through the "Come and See" Bible Study - Genesis. This study is a 22 week long study. There are a couple of hours of homework each week and a 15 minute video to watch before answers are discussed. Each week in the Parish Center Rooms. Contact Lucy C. for more info.

Childcare is available at both times.

Mother's Group

Tuesday nights, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM and Thursday mornings, 9 AM - 11 AM, Center Rooms 1 & 2

A support group for Moms (both current and those with adult children) based on Johnette Benkovic's Women of Grace program. Meets weekly on Thursdays during the school year. Usually in the Center room (First Thursdays of the month are usually in Camerman Hall). Childcare is available during this time.

Involvement in this group is open and Moms are encouraged to join in the discussions whenever their schedule allows. Join us for Fellowship and Formation - we would love to see you!

Grow in Faith

Sunday, 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM, in the school basement

An adult education program that looks at topics that are on the hearts and minds of our parishioners.

For those seeking Adult Confirmation the topics are arranged such that the preparation for Confirmation can be accomplished by attending these classes.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
